Meet Our Team

About Us

We are the team here at The Odyssey, working diligently behind the scenes to publish the work of our talented fellow teenage writers!

Ralia Farah

​Founder, Editor

Ralia Farah is a self-published teen author of a standalone fantasy novel titled The Return of the Nightshadows. She is working on several other projects and has big plans for college, constantly volunteering and doing extracurriculars. When she is not writing or working on The Odyssey, she is definitely watching movies, playing with her pets, and completing school work.

Cheyenne Nielsen is a freelance editor who loves working with teen and adult authors. She firmly believes that anyone can become an amazing writer with practice and polishing. She loves spending time with her family, friends, and the numerous stray cats in her neighborhood.

Ace Eryx

Personal Assistant

​Ace Eryx is a non-binary Polish writer who dabbles in different genres and mediums of writing. They have a novel in the works and short stories and poetry to satiate until then while they draw eyes in the margins. In their free time, they enjoy deep research into all things writing and law amongst their many chickens and lizard.

Annalise Healey is the young Australian author of the Wolves of Flame series and other standalone novels. She is currently studying an English major in tertiary education and hopes to share her love of literature and writing as an art form with future generations. Over the past year, she has treasured exploring ways to support aspiring writers and established authors, and would love to continue to build her skill base and experience to continue doing so in the future.

​Hannah Phillips is a seventeen year old author. She reads and writes books about people in love, and people with disabilities. Her debut novel is going to be published in 2025 hopefully. ​​​Jiya is a poet, and writer from India. She is the author of Letters to the Night, her debut poetry collection that came straight from her heart. Along with writing, she’s currently studying optometry. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She’s also working on a novel she started in 2024, a story she’s been quietly building and hopes to finish soon. Writing helps her make sense of the world, one line at a time.

   Rebecca Han

Event Coordinator

​Rebecca is a rising senior from the San Francisco Bay area. She is interested in pursuing writing and english in her future studies. In her free time, you can find her jotting down ideas in her journal, and typing up poems on her computer. She loves spending time with her friends to go out shopping and get boba. She is currently working on publishing her own novel, and hopes to use writing as a way to bridge gaps between people.​

Ben Ramakrishnan

Art & Photography Submissions Reviewer

Ben Ramakrishnan is a high school sophomore who is passionate about music, theater, literature, history, and graphic design. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of Vellichor Literary and co-founder of Youth Peace & Language Association. An award-winning poet, his work has been published in over 41 literary magazines. In his free time, you can catch him rocking with his band, performing in musicals, writing his novels, going to concerts, or hunting down Fleetwood Mac vinyls.
