Journaling is an important means of relieving pent-up emotions. It may make one seem vulnerable and emotional, but it is the most efficient way of understanding oneself. It is the time when one can talk to themselves in this loud and competitive world. It is hard for one to gather their thoughts without self-reflection. Meditation is a key way in which one can do this, but meditation is really hard for them. This is why journaling should be taken up by individuals. Specifically those in the adolescence age where their minds are vulnerable and they have a lot of thoughts running through their head.
This is when it is most important for them to reflect and think back to all their feelings to better understand themselves. Oftentimes school provides a lot of stress to students and this is why journaling should be taken into practice. Journaling allows for students to express their thoughts to themselves. Then reading their thoughts aloud to themselves allows them to know their thoughts and how to improve their mentality. It may seem difficult to start off with journaling, but as soon as you start, you will start feeling the words just fly out of one's mouth. The peace brought to mind once one starts journaling is like no other, one will gain a good sense of who they are and their points of weakness and of strength. If one is considering journaling some prompts to start with will be stated right here: What makes me happy? What do I love about myself? What do I need to work on? What am I grateful for? What should I do to show my gratitude? This blog post was written by Isha Popat.
